PORTRAYAL OF MY HERO

  At 2003, Hong Kong people face a serious disease - SARS. It make many people die and cause the scare of globe. Mrs. Tse Yuen Man, the warrior of this war, she save the patients at the front voluntarily. She has save some people although she deliver her life, it is unforgettable for Hong Kong people and she is a Hero in our mind forever.

Mrs. Tse Yuen Man, Joanna. Born in 1968, grew up in ordinary Hong Kong family of grass-roots background. She study in Shek Yam Salesian Primary School and finished high school at TWGH Mrs. Wu York Yu Memorial College, graduating in 1983. She get a good result in class and went to Medical School at the Chinese University to resume her study. Following graduation from medical school in 1992, she come be a doctor, her dream job.

Compare with policemen and firemen, doctor’s work is not much dangerous and they have not think about that they will lose the life in their job. However, in that moment, Mrs. Tse’s first priority is how can her help the patients and save their life. She bravely performed intubation for four SARS infected patients, her ultimate sacrifice and brave make people respectable. When she remained in Intensive Care Unit(ICU), she still consider the patients and her mother, her mental is important to encourage Hong Kong people to overcome this difficult. She have not much ability but she have love, I think she is a really hero of Hong Kong.

  We can also hear the voice from grass-roots, no matter mentally, physical or finance problems, people also think it is Government’s duty, it is a misunderstand, do not just consider ourselves, we can pay our efforts to the needy, let us study from Mrs. Tse, more love and more sacrifice.
